because zak had to play around with his new scv digital set, i'm forced to spend a good one and a half hours wandering about before the scheduled dinner at six. and being in tampines central alone brings back far too many memories of that not very distant teenage past.
for a start, going back to the regional library reminds me of the times when i had to go there to do research for secondary school projects. i vaguely remembered doing research for geography, something along the lines of earthquakes and the richter scale, and also trying to absorb economics and literature when i was preparing for the a'levels two years ago. when i realised that the research section of the library would not be a place of which you can feel comfortable while reading a novel, i decided to try my luck at the children's section. i still can remember those books that i used to borrow when i was still a primary school kid and i can still see those little pencil marks i've made on those very books. seems like the library management don't really scan the books when you return them, huh?
it felt good to know that vik is still very much the one who took flight for indiana five years back. was speaking to jason (who made a rare appearance this time round) and we were suddenly reminded of the days where we used to work on late nights just to put in a good show for the debates. whenever i see vik, kevin or david, my juniors whom we have together braved the terrors of debate a few years back, they will still somehow remind me of the debaters that they were. the thing about debate is that because of the intensity of the subject matter, people learn to bond together actually give a part of themself to their team mates. and in this case, i will always remember how vikram always ends his speech with his 'beacon of truth' and phrases which would generally point to his 'i'm always right and you're never correct' conclusions.

in other news, arsenal won newcastle 2-0 by netting in those two goals in the final ten minutes. i would have preferred newcastle to win so that arsenal will be reminded for their gross inadequacies in their midfield following the sale of viera during the summer. but oh well. to have to struggle against a ten-men newcastle for the most of the second half despite of the obvious numerical advantage should give arsene wenger something to ponder about. i hope he remembers the fashion of which they were dominated by chelski just a week ago when they lost by the same margin.
sheesh. when did i start becoming a soccer pundit? hahahaha.

its junlin again.
You dont have to be an adult to get into adulthood, kid. :) Im so into that stage but i SO do not look like an adult. haha i have a baby geena face, i love it and i hate it.again, chill. life's not gonna get any better if u treat it that seriously.. i learnt my lesson. tertiary life doesnt come from disney, its not a fairytale -- its all that shrewd and wacky and freaky plots without the *definite* happily-ever-after ending. just take one day at one time and try to embrace each day as much as u can: thats the way to live life!!
i like ur entries btw, but the paras are abit too wordy, its killing my eyes. more paras with less words pls? haha keep blogging pike. :)

Re: its junlin again.
am i really that hawt? you've told me to chill three times since you first tagged on my lj! well i guess i have to learn to look at life from a whole new perspective, but (forgive the whining!) regimentation and the army makes it hard to feel good and happy about each and everyday.haha more paras with less word? oh well okies. will try, will try! and continue visiting! i'll be more than happy to play host to you here:)

Re: boo!
oops. hello junlin's brother!seriously we all have different interests so to me, it doesn't really matter if you love dota (i have friends who are crazy over it) or soccer. its more of a way to pass time and divert your attentions from the other things in life (i.e academics, work etc) than anything else.
oh. and i'm a man utd fan. heh:)

Re: What?
oh hello george! well i think my comment about younger siblings stemmed very much from my perspective as the elder counterpart. seems like i just cannot agree with my brother and the way he does things. much less his choice of friends. but then again, that was all in the past. oh well...=)
